Who is responsible?

Valise is published by Adrien Donot. Data questions: adrien.donot@me.com. Updated September 6, 2026.

Data in the app

Trips, traveler profiles, answers, packing lists, imported documents and memory references are stored on your device. Valise has no account server. The online searches described below transmit only the information needed to provide those features. No advertising or analytics tracking SDK is integrated.

Online services

Weather, maps, routes and discovery send requests to Apple Maps and WeatherKit, Wikipedia/Wikimedia and the OpenAgenda dataset through OpenDataSoft. Requests may contain destination names or coordinates, the search area and, depending on the feature, travel dates. Providers also receive technical connection information, including your IP address, and apply their own policies. Personal profiles, documents and photos are not attached to these searches.

When you look up a flight, its number and departure date are sent to a Valise relay hosted on Netlify, then to AeroDataBox through RapidAPI or API.Market. No ticket, passenger name or document is sent. The relay does not store responses. Your selected flight number and date stay in your trip; retrieved schedules and status are temporary. Providers may process technical logs to secure the service.

Photos, documents and local intelligence

Photo library access lets you select images or find memories matching travel dates. Scanning uses the camera with your permission. Features using available Apple models run on the device. You can decline or revoke permissions in iOS Settings.

Backups and sharing

You initiate backup exports to your chosen location, such as iCloud Drive. Backups may contain personal information: keep them in a trusted location. This is not automatic synchronization. Sharing, printing and sending items to Reminders or another app are initiated by you and subject to the destination service’s rules.

Retention and deletion

Local records remain until you delete them in the app or remove the app. Removing a memory from Valise does not delete the original from Photos. Existing backup files, exports and any iCloud copies must be deleted separately.

Support and website

If you contact support, your email address and message are used to handle your request, based on our legitimate interest in providing assistance. Messages are retained for follow-up and deleted within 12 months of closing the request, unless legally required otherwise. This website has no form, advertising cookies or publisher-added analytics. Netlify hosts the website and may process technical logs to deliver and secure the service.

Your rights

You may request access, correction or deletion of support data held by the publisher, restriction of its processing, or object to processing by emailing support. Device-only data is managed on your device. You may complain to the French CNIL or your relevant data protection authority. Providers’ own practices and transfers are described in the policies below.
